Chef Bee is a Wife, Mother, and Lover of Food. She has 27 years of flavor filled experience. She healed herself after survey by using a fork and a few good choices. She sees food as both an art form & a universal gift to be shared by all. Food being a means of expressing love for family, friends and fellowship. She pays homage to every Chef, Cook and Homemaker that prepared a dish before me. We will be preparing meal prep for us this year. 
Farmer_Will Gardener

William Gardner (Rivendale Gardens)

Will is a Detroit native and a urban gardener on Detroit's East side. He took the initiative to turn abandoned lots into an oasis of healthy food. This is his second year working with Deeply Rooted Produce and we couldn't be happier to continue to support his family operation. He specializes in creative crop rotation and will be able to provide a great variety of high quality crops.
Dr Velonda From Sweet Potato Delights

Dr. Velonda (Sweet Potato Delights)

Sweet Potato Delights (SPD) was founded by U.S. Army veteran Velonda Anderson, PhD; nutritionist, professor and cookbook author. Dr. Anderson is a well-known health promotion educator specializing in nutrition coaching and plant-based diet meal makeover education. SPD is a 100% veteran owned small batch manufacturer of vegan dips, snacks and baked goods featuring sweet potatoes. Dr. Anderson has completed doctoral studies in the field of nutrition and health promotion. She is a professor for South University and author of several educational cookbooks; “Beyond Candied Yams and Sweet Potato Pie,” and “Pass the Sweet Potatoes, Please!”. She has also published a children’s educational coloring book entitled “Amaya’s ABCs to Good Nutrition”. Dr. Anderson currently serves as chairperson for the Detroit Food Policy Council.

Greg Wilerer (Brother Nature Produce)

 Greg and his wife Oliva have an admirable homesteading operation on the Southwest side of Detroit. Brother Nature Produce is a small farm that specializes in salad mix, arugula, and medicinal herbs with an urban and rural location.

As a Master Gardener and Urban Farmer for over ten years in the City of Detroit, sustainability is a lifestyle for Linda Kay to reduce carbon footprint by altering methods of energy consumption and diet. It's about meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Linda Kay started Mrs. Pruitt's Gourmet CHA CHA to have a farming practice that maintains yields while increasing environmental goods and benefits, and working with local farmers. Linda Kay is an advocate for sustainability, protecting our natural environment, human and ecological health, while driving innovation and not compromising our way of life. Mrs. Pruitt's Gourmet CHA CHA's goal is to have healthy and positive effects on the community and help the environment. As a product that contains all vegetables, is gluten-free, and vegan-friendly, Mrs. Pruitt's Gourmet CHA CHA does good and is good for you.

Baobab Fare is owned and operated by Nadia Nijimbere and Hamissi Mamba, a wife and husband team, that came to the United States from Burundi in 2014, yearning to start a new life by taking advantage of the business opportunities in Detroit. More than just a restaurant and market, Baobab will serve as a safe space for other immigrants and Detroiters alike, knowing that it is a meeting place where all are welcomed and embraced. Baobab will help to fill a gap as it relates to African fare and culture in the city.

Ms. Poinsetta is a wealth of knowledge and skill as she continues to educate the Detroit community about healthy eating, heavy metals, and detoxing. She specializes in lifestyle friendly baked goods and will be providing a healthy twist to traditional baked goods.

GSCC was started as a community garden in 2008 on the Far East side of Detroit after wanting to deter illegal dumping on some vacant lots and then wanted to help neighbors eat healthier. 2020 will be our 13th growing season. GSCC is committed to growing healthy food and we believe it is very important for a healthy community.

Nur’s Honey was established in late 2018 by Abdulrahman Abdinur in order to bring to the Detroit area Michigan made raw honey. We owe our uniqueness to being made with love in our local area. Nur means light in Arabic, our vision in starting this company was to offer products that brought light to a sustainable industry in Michigan. We operate out of Midtown Detroit, and deliver jars and bulk pails to various individuals & companies throughout the Midwest.
